		Lamberts Bay Foods produces french fries, hash browns, wedges and other potato products at its factory in Lamberts Bay, sourcing potatoes from all major growing areas in South Africa and selling products to wholesalers, retailers and fast food chains. Product is also retailed under the name brand, Gold Seal. Now the local food service industry can serve up the Perfect French Fry - consistently crisp and golden on the outside, soft and delicious on the inside!

Hash Browns - a Gold Seal variety

Hash browns are made by mixing potato pieces with flavoured seasoning to form a shaped patty. These are then gently par-fried in vegetable oil and blast frozen. The final appearance of the hash brown should be crispy and golden brown.

Potato Wedges

Our wedges are made from choice round potatoes. They are a then cut into segments and par fried for your convenience. We make them with the skin on to maintain the highest amount of nutrients possible. They can be baked, grilled or fried depending on the meal you serve them with. They are packaged in a convenient 1 kg bag.

Sourcing

The Sandveld and Ceres regions are widely acknowledged as being of the most productive growing regions in South Africa. The majority of raw material is sourced from these areas and the balance comes from the Free State and Gauteng agricultural areas. The bulk of the potatoes are supplied according to prearranged contracts and the remainder from the local market. The potatoes utilised include the Up-to-date, Van der Plank, Columbus, Fianna and Herta varieties.
