Barrie is a CA (SA) and also holds a B.Com (Honours) degree in information technology.  In July 2001 Barrie joined Oceana as Financial Director of the Erongo Group in Walvis Bay and following restructuring in the Oceana Group, he was appointed Financial Director of Blue Continent Products in April 2005.  He was appointed as MD of Blue Continent Products in October 2007.  Barrie assumed the role of the Group's Executive Committee member responsible for Compliance in February 2011.
